The disease known as Alzheimer’s Disease is characterized by dementia which typically begins with poorly recognized memory which slowly becomes more incapacitating. Unless you had an unfortunate accident that occurred that inhibits your ability to use your body and mind, we all have an incredible gift and potential that we should all be extremely grateful for. The body and mind can accomplish miraculous feats when you set your vision high. What most people fail to recognize is that the way a person uses both body and mind are not guaranteed to be effective. The biggest issue in our modern day technological age, is that a lot of people have become so lazy that they’ve forgotten how to fully utilize and engage both the mind and body. Despite the massive amount of distractions that our world has, it is still greatly dependent upon our mental growth of humanity as well as our general health and well-being of our bodies. If we happened to love people as much as we love technology, there wouldn’t be a disease left in this world. It is important to live life without a feeling of regret and to not become impatient when things don’t always go your way. When you don’t get an instantaneous result, just remember that all good things take time to develop and take form. Many times life may require a 7 day a week work ethic in order to get ahead and make dreams a reality. If you work very hard, but still feel like you’re falling short of your goals whether dietary, financial, fitness, relationship, or spiritual goals, remember that success doesn’t come overnight. Often times in modern day advertising campaigns that run on websites and commercials, there are brain supplements and hoopla surrounding people. A lot of these advertisements are trying to sell us these modern day magical pills. What I’m going to talk about in this post is something that is highly underestimated for overall brain health and mental clarity, it’s sleep! Getting enough adequate sleep on a day to day basis is something that is not always obtainable for every person depending upon job commitments and having a busy schedule. The key to fixing the issue is to re-arrange priorities and scheduling throughout the day in order to have an earlier bed time and eliminate things that are preventing you from obtaining enough sleep on a weekly basis. By getting enough sleep it can positively affect learning in students and business people alike. Studies show that sleep plays a very important role in learning, memory, mood, motivation, judgement, and perception. When you think about learning, it makes sense that sleep would impact one’s ability to focus and stay on task for a long duration of time. If you think about being sleep deprived, it greatly impairs one’s ability to learn and complete tasks in an efficient manner. This is primarily due to our cognitive domains being dependent upon a normal night’s sleep in order to have efficient working memory.
